Large improvement of mental health during outpatient short-term group psychotherapy treatment - a naturalistic pre-/post-observational study

A naturalistic pre/post study of short-term group psychotherapy in an outpatient setting found large improvements across mental health outcomes - depression showed the largest effect (eta-squared = 0.22), with moderate-to-severe depression dropping from ~70% to ~35% of patients after treatment. Supports group therapy as an effective ambulatory modality.
