This protocol analyzes the contents of patient messages in order to do one of the following (1) create a task for a team to address the message, (2) auto-reply to the message, or (3) do nothing. In this protocol, any message with "thanks" will be responded to with "You are welcome!", and any message with the word "hurt" in it will generate a task for follow-up. The actual logic can be replaced with a call to a third party service that specializes in natural language processing for this setting.
